Canberra, August 17 (Hibya) - Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese highlighted the strength of the country’s democratic system in a speech delivered at a reception at Government House.
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said they had gathered to celebrate Australia’s 48th Parliament and the country’s democratic traditions, emphasizing the strength of its democratic institutions.
Assessing the state of democracy, Albanese said, “Australian democracy is stronger than ever. And that is something to be proud of.”
Referring to the purpose of the event, Prime Minister Albanese concluded his statement by saying, “Tonight, following the Address-in-Reply, we gathered at Government House to celebrate our democracy and Australia’s 48th Parliament.”
