Barrack: Medicare fugitive captured thanks to cooperation with Turkish authorities
United States (US) Ambassador to Ankara Tom Barrack said that the capture in Türkiye and extradition to the United States of a fugitive wanted in connection with a major Medicare fraud investigation was a significant achievement.
US Ambassador to Ankara Tom Barrack, in a statement, thanked Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Director Kash Patel and the Anti-Fraud Task Force operating under US Vice President JD Vance.
Highlighting the cooperation carried out with Turkish authorities, Barrack said, “Working closely with our Turkish allies, the capture and swift return of a major Medicare fraud fugitive was an unprecedented success.” Barrack emphasized that the operation was one of the concrete examples of US-Türkiye cooperation.
