Bessent: We will track anyone trying to evade sanctions
Washington, May 1 (Hibya) – U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced that economic pressure on Iran will be increased and sanctions will be strictly enforced.
U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that Iran’s financial resources will be targeted and that sanctions will be implemented more aggressively. He noted that Iran poses a threat to global security.
In his statement, Bessent said: “Iran is the head of the snake of global terrorism. We will relentlessly target the regime’s ability to generate, transfer, and return funds, and we will track anyone trying to evade sanctions.”
