CMG's select programs reach audiences in Egypt
Ten select programs produced by China Media Group (CMG), including “Letters from Xi Jinping” and “Xi Jinping's Love of Culture,” reached audiences in Egypt.
The screening event for the programs was held in Cairo, the capital of Egypt.
Following the event, which was organized ahead of President Xi Jinping's official visit to Egypt, the programs began airing on the country's leading media platforms, particularly Egyptian State Television.

Shen Haixiong, deputy head of the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and president of China Media Group, sent a video message for the event. Officials including Li Qin, chargé d'affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Egypt, and Ali El Hefny, vice president of the Egypt-China Friendship Association and former assistant foreign minister of Egypt, also delivered remarks at the event. Around 100 guests from Egypt's political, academic and media circles also attended.
Shen Haixiong said select productions such as “Letters from Xi Jinping” and “Xi Jinping's Love of Culture” reflect President Xi's views on developing friendship among peoples and strengthening mutual understanding.
Shen said these productions would help viewers gain a closer understanding of the profound heritage of Chinese culture and the vibrant development momentum China has demonstrated in the new era, adding that CMG is ready to further develop comprehensive cooperation with Egyptian media.
Shen Haixiong said that on this occasion they aim to deepen cultural exchanges and communication between China and Egypt and expand the cooperation network between the media of the two countries. Shen said these efforts would make new contributions to further consolidating the foundations of the China-Egypt comprehensive strategic partnership and advancing the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
