European Council President Antonio Costa stated that Russia’s threats and provocations against the Baltic States are unacceptable.

Reacting to Russia’s actions, Costa said: “These are part of Russia’s hybrid warfare tactics and constitute a threat to the entire European Union.”

Emphasizing the EU’s stance against these threats, Costa stated: “The European Union is strong and united. We will accelerate our joint efforts to strengthen our defense capabilities.”

Costa also stated that pressure on Russia would be increased, concluding his remarks with the words: “We will also intensify pressure for Russia to end its unjust and unprovoked war of aggression against Ukraine.”
