Israeli army: We killed a Hamas member who participated in the October 7 attack
Tel Aviv, October 16 (Hibya) - The Israel Defense Forces announced that Maher Walid Omar al-Husseini, a leader of the Nukhba unit affiliated with Hamas's military wing, was killed in a strike carried out in the southern Gaza Strip.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced in a statement that Maher Walid Omar al-Husseini, a leader of the Nukhba unit affiliated with Hamas's military wing, was killed in a strike conducted two days earlier in the southern Gaza Strip.
The statement alleged that al-Husseini had taken part in the raid on the Re'im military base during the October 7 attacks. The Israeli army also claimed that al-Husseini had recently been planning attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians and was working to rebuild Hamas's military capabilities.
