Kallas: Air defense support for Ukraine must be increased
Brussels, October 16 (Hibya) - European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas said Russia has shown no willingness to end the war or agree to a ceasefire, stressing the need to increase air defense support for Ukraine and intensify pressure on Russia.
European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas stated ahead of the European Council meeting that there were no signs of Russia being ready to end the war or agree to a ceasefire.
Kallas emphasized that support for Ukraine must continue to enable the country to get through the winter and defend itself, highlighting the particular need for air defense systems. She added that pressure on Moscow must be increased to compel Russia to negotiate.
