Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a statement in response to remarks made by Esmail Qaani, commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps' Quds Force, regarding Israel.

Katz said that Qaani had recently escalated his threats against Israel, describing his rhetoric as "ridiculous" and arguing that his image as a collaborator had once been stronger.

Katz stated that if Iran attacks Israel, it would be "its biggest mistake ever," adding: "Neither Hormuz nor firing at civilians will help him here. Nothing will stop us. Our forces are ready to complete the mission."
