Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

French President Emmanuel Macron stated that international crises cannot serve as an excuse for climate inaction, emphasizing that combating climate change remains a priority.

In a statement on social media, Macron reported that France's greenhouse gas emissions have fallen by 23 percent since 2017. He noted that this reduction has occurred five times faster than during the 1990–2016 period and that greenhouse gas emissions declined by 4.1 percent in the first half of 2026 compared with the same period of the previous year.

Emphasizing that France would not deviate from its goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 despite ongoing crises, Macron said the results were no coincidence. He attributed the decline in emissions to the efforts of the French people and the extensive transformations carried out over the past decade in the economy, industry and production models.

Macron stated that the fight against climate change would continue, describing it as a responsibility toward future generations.
