French President Emmanuel Macron made a statement regarding the naval operation carried out in the Mediterranean and his country’s strategic priorities.

Sharing details of the operation conducted this morning by the French navy, Macron said: "Our navy seized another vessel of the shadow fleet this morning in the Mediterranean, the ‘Deyna’. These vessels, which bypass international sanctions and violate maritime law, are war profiteers."

Macron stated that the main purpose of such vessels is to generate illicit profits to finance Russia’s war efforts.

President Macron emphasized that developments in the Middle East will not affect support for Ukraine, saying: "The war in Iran will not prevent France from supporting Ukraine, where Russia’s aggressive war continues."
