The statement also noted that Moldova supports the principles of universality, indivisibility and interdependence of human rights.

During its new term, Moldova will work to strengthen the Council's effectiveness, credibility and ability to respond to current challenges. The country will also promote constructive, balanced and inclusive dialogue based on international law and universal human rights standards.

Moldova's Ministry of Foreign Affairs thanked the UN member states that supported its candidacy and stated that the country would carry out its membership responsibilities with accountability, transparency and dedication. The ministry noted that the election reflects the international community's recognition of Moldova's commitment to human rights and fundamental freedoms, as well as its contribution to international cooperation in this field.
