Islamabad, May 24 (Hibya) - In a joint statement published on the official account of Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the foreign ministers of 8 countries, including Türkiye, condemned Israeli Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir over the treatment of activists aboard the flotilla carrying aid to Gaza.
In the joint statement published by the official account of Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Israeli Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir was strongly criticized over the treatment of activists detained aboard the flotilla carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza.
The statement, shared by Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the phrase “operated by the official account,” included the joint declaration of the foreign ministers of Türkiye, Pakistan, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
The statement said Ben-Gvir’s “humiliating and unacceptable” behavior toward the detained activists was condemned, noting that such conduct was contrary to human dignity and amounted to a violation of international law.
The joint declaration also argued that Ben-Gvir’s actions fueled hatred and extremism, calling for compliance with international law and the protection of the human rights of all detainees.
