Palestine accuses Israel over infant's death
Ramallah, July 6 (Hibya) – The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned what it claimed was the Israeli forces' prevention of four-month-old Ahmed Marouf Zeid from being transferred to a hospital at a checkpoint in the West Bank.
In a statement, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates described Israeli checkpoints as "barriers of death," alleging that the transfer of the critically ill infant to a hospital at the entrance of Deir Ammar village, west of Ramallah, was blocked for more than an hour and that Ahmed Marouf Zeid died while waiting.
The statement argued that the incident was "part of a systematic and deliberate policy targeting children" and said: "We call on the international community to act as soon as possible to end the Israeli occupation, which is the root cause of these crimes."
