Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

According to a statement from the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Minister Varsen Aghabekian Shahin met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, on Thursday, October 15. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the CICA meetings.

During the meeting, Shahin expressed appreciation for China's support for the Palestinian cause and its initiatives and assistance in the political and economic fields. She stated that this support contributes to the development of relations between the two countries.

Addressing the humanitarian conditions in Gaza, Shahin stressed the need to increase international pressure on Israel to ensure the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid and relief supplies to the territory. She also called for compliance with the ceasefire agreement and an end to the suffering of the Palestinian people.

Shahin stated that attacks by Israeli forces and acts of violence by settlers were continuing in the West Bank, saying these developments threatened the security, lives and property of Palestinians. She also drew attention to attempts to take control of the Chinese Road project, which connects neighborhoods in Ramallah, and allocate it for use by settlers.

Shahin also addressed the risks posed by the E1 settlement project, which envisages expanding Israeli settlements around occupied East Jerusalem. She said the project threatens geographical continuity between the northern and southern West Bank and undermines the prospects of establishing an independent Palestinian state.

Shahin also raised the issue of Israel withholding customs and tax revenues belonging to the Palestinian Authority, calling for international pressure to secure the release of these funds to support Palestinian institutions and alleviate financial difficulties.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, meanwhile, reaffirmed China's continued support for the two-state solution. According to the Palestinian Foreign Ministry's statement on the meeting, China reiterated its position on the issue.
