Petro: Gasoline prices may rise, diesel support to be limited
Bogota, March 24 (Hibya) - Colombian President Gustavo Petro announced that an increase in gasoline prices is on the agenda and that diesel subsidies will be limited to freight transport only.
Colombian President Petro stated that there is a possibility of an increase in gasoline prices, while diesel will remain subsidized only for freight transport.
Petro advised users of gas, gasoline, and diesel to switch to clean electricity, highlighting domestic production and saying: “There should be a shift toward solar panels and electric vehicles already produced in Colombia. Electric stoves powered by solar panels should be preferred.”
