Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met with Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty on the sidelines of the Arab Ministerial Committee meeting in Amman, which focused on international initiatives addressing Israeli policies in occupied Jerusalem.

According to Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two ministers discussed bilateral cooperation between Qatar and Egypt and ways to further strengthen those ties.

The two sides also reviewed the latest regional developments, particularly those concerning occupied Jerusalem, Arab coordination efforts, and regional security issues.

The meeting focused on diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions and strengthen regional security and stability, while emphasizing the importance of coordinated Arab action in response to Israeli policies in occupied Jerusalem.

Al-Thani stated: "It is essential that all parties remain committed to dialogue and diplomacy and implement the agreements reached under the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran."

He added: "Freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz must be ensured, regional security preserved, existing achievements safeguarded, and regional stability strengthened."

Reaffirming Qatar's support for diplomatic initiatives in the region, Al-Thani said: "The State of Qatar will continue to fully support all efforts aimed at reducing tensions and reaching a comprehensive agreement that will secure lasting and sustainable peace in the region."
