Saar: Lebanon must be freed from Iran’s indirect occupation via Hezbollah
Jerusalem, March 24 (Hibya) - Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar made a statement following a situation assessment at the Nahariya operations center, addressing the security situation in northern settlements and Lebanon’s decision to expel Iran’s ambassador.
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar met with Nahariya Mayor Ronen Marli and security officials, reviewing the latest situation in the region on site.
Highlighting the resilience of Nahariya’s residents, Saar said: “Nahariya stands out in an impressive and inspiring way during these difficult days. Nahariya is very strong.”
Referring to his international diplomatic contacts, Saar stated that he explained the “unbearable reality” in the north during his meetings with foreign officials from Germany, Australia, and Austria.
Saar added: “I mentioned that residents have only 15 seconds to reach a sheltered area before a missile strike, and I spoke about the intense firepower directed at the civilian population from Lebanese territory.”
Assessing regional diplomatic developments, Saar welcomed Lebanon’s decision to expel Iran’s ambassador, stating: “Lebanon must be freed from Iran’s indirect occupation via Hezbollah.”
