Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Varsen Aghabekian Shaheen met with members of the Palestinian community and refugees living in Iraq at the Haifa Sports Club, located in the Municipalities Complex in Baghdad.

During the meeting, Shaheen addressed developments in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, stating that Palestinians within their homeland face ethnic cleansing, forced displacement, killings, arrests and the expansion of settlement activities. She added that Palestinians living abroad experience humanitarian and social difficulties due to their refugee status, while their rights, dignity and conditions for a decent life face various challenges.

Shaheen emphasized that the Palestinian leadership and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates attach importance to following up on the concerns of Palestinians in Iraq, identifying their needs and developing solutions in coordination with the relevant institutions.

Minister Shaheen also listened to the problems and demands raised by Palestinians during the meeting.
