Tajani: Italian Air Force aircraft will be deployed to Venezuela
Rome, June 25 (Hibya) – Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani announced that, following the devastating earthquake in Venezuela, the Italian government has begun preparations to send humanitarian aid supplies and specialist personnel to the affected region.
Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani spoke about the coordination of search and rescue operations in the earthquake-hit area, the activities of the ministry's crisis unit, and the situation of Italian citizens.
Referring to the aid to be delivered to the region and the preparations of civil protection teams, Tajani said: "Italy is ready to immediately deploy personnel from the Farnesina Crisis Unit, the Ministry of Defence, the Fire Brigade, and the Civil Protection Department. Italian Air Force aircraft will also be deployed."
Emphasizing his message of solidarity and support for the Italian diaspora in the region, Tajani stated: "The government will do everything possible to help the people of Venezuela and stand by the large Italian community living there."
