Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani issued a message of condolence following the fire at Wainwright military base in Alberta, Canada.

Expressing deep sorrow over those who lost their lives in the fire, Tajani said, "I extend my heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and express my support for the injured and their families."

Expressing solidarity with members of the Canadian Armed Forces, Tajani said, "I stand in solidarity with the women and men of the Canadian Armed Forces affected by this tragedy. Italy stands with the Canadian government and people."
