In his statement, Trump said that a total repayment of 159 billion dollars to individuals and companies that he claims previously benefited unfairly from the United States could be on the agenda. He added that if the ruling had been formulated differently, this payment could have been avoided, stressing that it represents a significant loss for the national economy.
The US President emphasized that the amount exceeds the economic size of many countries and underlined that the decision should be questioned in terms of national interests.
