Tsahkna: Narva has always been and will remain an Estonian city
Tallinn, March 16 (Hibya) - Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna spoke about disinformation and separatist propaganda activities carried out regarding the city of Narva.
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna made a statement regarding separatist rhetoric such as the “Narva People’s Republic” and disinformation campaigns targeting the city.
Emphasizing that Narva is an integral part of Estonia, Tsahkna said, “Narva has always been and will remain an Estonian city. These small attempts to create confusion and weaken social cohesion are basic in nature and nothing new.”
Drawing attention to Russia’s destabilization efforts in the region, Minister Tsahkna stated, “We have seen these tactics of Russia before in Estonia and elsewhere; they are a cheap way to provoke confusion and anger. Stay calm, stay informed! An informed response based on awareness is the best defense against covert influence.”
