US stock markets rise, VIX declines
Istanbul, April 15 (Hibya) – Indices in US stock markets ended the day higher.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) rose 0.66 percent to 48,535 points, while the S&P 500 index climbed 1.18 percent to 6,967. The Nasdaq index, meanwhile, reached 23,639 points with a 1.96 percent gain.
The Russell 2000 index, which covers small-cap companies, also rose 1.32 percent to 2,705.
The VIX index, a measure of market volatility, fell 3.97 percent to 18.36.
Thus, a generally positive trend was seen in US markets, while volatility declined.
