Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with General Keith Kellogg, who came from Odesa to Kyiv to participate in the Veterans Forum.

The meeting addressed the intensification of Russia’s attacks on infrastructure and civilian targets in Ukraine, as well as Ukraine’s defense priorities.

In a statement regarding the meeting, Zelensky thanked Kellogg for showing respect to Ukrainian soldiers defending Ukraine and the Euro-Atlantic region under difficult conditions.

Zelensky stated that the intensification of Russia’s attacks on infrastructure and civilians was discussed, adding that Ukraine’s priority in defense is to provide protection against ballistic missiles.

Zelensky said he informed Kellogg about efforts carried out with European countries to develop a ballistic missile defense system.

Zelensky stated that Ukraine’s air defense capabilities need to be strengthened to get through the upcoming winter period, saying that supplying interceptor missiles for Patriot systems is critically important.

Zelensky said Ukraine is ready to purchase these missiles and emphasized the importance of all initiatives in this direction.
