Azerbaijani President Aliyev issued a congratulatory message after Sabah FC earned the right to compete in the main stage of the UEFA Champions League.

Aliyev said it was a source of joy and pride for them that a newly established team had achieved such a major success in a short period of time.

Noting that Azerbaijani clubs had qualified for the main stage of the world’s strongest club competition for the second consecutive time, Aliyev said this was one of the indicators of Azerbaijan’s position in sports.

Aliyev wished Sabah FC new victories and success in its Champions League matches.
