Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmail Baqaei made a statement regarding the drone targeted by air defense systems over the city of Shiraz, as well as military activity in the region.

Referring to the intervention of Iran’s armed forces, Baqaei said: "Our brave armed forces shot down this drone over beloved Shiraz, the city of Hafez and Saadi."

Drawing attention to the diplomatic and legal dimension of the incident, Spokesperson Baqaei said: "This may be even clearer evidence that some countries in the region have been involved in and effectively become accomplices to the aggression and war crimes committed by the United States and Israel against Iran."

Baqaei concluded with a direct call to regional countries, saying: "We expect an explanation from one of the two countries in the region that used this drone."
