Orban stated that Szabolcs Panyi revealed cooperation with three European intelligence services to discredit the Hungarian government. He said this represents unprecedented external pressure stemming from Hungary’s refusal to accept an oil embargo, its decision to block Ukraine’s accession to the European Union, and its stance against forcing Hungarian families to pay for war loans.

The Prime Minister pointed to the upcoming April 12 elections, arguing that the government should not be replaced by pro-Ukrainian forces and stating that his party represents the safe choice.
