Berendsen holds phone call with Qatari counterpart Al Thani
Amsterdam, March 29 (Hibya) - Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen said he held a call with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, during which they discussed recent attacks on Qatar and their impact on energy security.

Berendsen made a statement regarding diplomatic contacts with Qatar and strategic cooperation in the Gulf region.
Emphasizing the importance of the Strait of Hormuz, Berendsen said: "We discussed joint efforts to keep the Strait of Hormuz open and opportunities to reduce tensions."
Highlighting regional cooperation and solidarity, Minister Berendsen said: "We stand in solidarity with our partners in the Gulf when it comes to maintaining regional stability."
