Carney: We announced the largest clean energy investment in North American history
Ottawa, August 17 (Hibya) - Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced that, through cooperation between Quebec and Newfoundland and Labrador, Churchill Falls' current electricity generation capacity will be increased to nearly three times its present level.

Carney said Churchill Falls' current generation capacity will be increased to nearly three times its present level, adding that the investment will provide Canadians with cleaner, more reliable and affordable electricity.
The project is expected to support more than 20,000 jobs.
