Costa: Moldova's EU membership is our shared goal
Brussels, October 8 (Hibya) - European Council President António Costa stated that Moldova's accession to the European Union is a shared goal, saying they expect two clusters of negotiation chapters to be opened next week.
European Council President António Costa issued a statement regarding his telephone conversation with Moldovan President Maia Sandu.
Costa emphasized that Moldova's accession to the European Union is a shared goal, stating: "Moldova's EU membership remains our shared commitment. We expect two negotiating clusters to open next week, and all remaining clusters by the end of the year."
Noting that Moldova's security situation was also discussed during the conversation, Costa said: "The EU stands united in its response to Russia's increasingly reckless hybrid campaigns."
