Dar holds phone call with Iraqi counterpart Hussein
Islamabad, March 23 (Hibya) - Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishak Dar and Iraq’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein expressed concern over escalating regional tensions during a phone call and called for collective efforts and dialogue for stability.
Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement regarding the phone call between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishak Dar and his Iraqi counterpart Fuad Hussein.
During the conversation, which addressed critical developments in the region, it was stated: "Both leaders expressed deep concern over the ongoing escalation of regional tensions and its broader implications."
Emphasizing solutions, Dar said: "We underline the need for collective efforts to de-escalate tensions and prevent further instability. We stress that dialogue and adherence to international law are essential to ensure peace, security, and stability in the region and beyond."
The statement also noted that the two leaders exchanged holiday greetings during the call.
