Dar: We stand in solidarity with Saudi Arabia's leadership and brotherly people
Islamabad, October 11 (Hibya) - Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar condemned in the strongest terms the Houthi attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. Dar stated that six Pakistani nationals were among those injured in the attack.
Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar issued a statement regarding the Houthi attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
Expressing "deep concern" over the attack, Dar said, "Pakistan condemns the Houthi attack on King Khalid International Airport in the strongest possible terms." Dar stated that six Pakistani nationals were among the injured and wished those wounded a speedy recovery.
Emphasizing that attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure are unacceptable, Dar said, "Such attacks are completely unacceptable, violate international law, and pose a serious threat to regional peace and security. Such actions must cease immediately."
Dar stated that Pakistan was in contact with Saudi authorities and closely monitoring developments. He also said he had instructed the Pakistani Embassy in Riyadh to coordinate with the relevant authorities to provide all possible assistance to the injured Pakistani nationals.
Dar stated, "We stand in solidarity with Saudi Arabia's leadership and its brotherly people. Pakistan remains firmly committed to the Kingdom's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and security in accordance with the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement."
