Estonian Foreign Minister Tsahkna: Russia is targeting children
Tallinn, July 21 (Hibya) – Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna, drawing attention to the report published by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) on Ukrainian children, stressed that Russia must be held internationally accountable for the crimes it has committed.
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said that the UNICEF report reflects only a small part of the destruction caused by Russia in Ukraine.
Stating that Ukrainian children have suffered greatly because of the war, Tsahkna said, "Thousands of Ukrainian children have been killed, injured, displaced, deported, or deprived of their childhood due to Russia's relentless bombardment."
Emphasizing justice and accountability, Tsahkna said, "Russia is targeting children. This heartbreaking UNICEF report is only the tip of the iceberg. Justice cannot be achieved until Russia is held accountable in a decisive, unequivocal and strongest possible manner."
