Guatemalan President Arevalo meets with Geerts
Guatemala City, March 27 (Hibya) - The Kingdom of the Netherlands’ Human Rights Ambassador Wim Geerts met with Guatemalan President Bernardo Arevalo to discuss democracy, human rights, and the rule of law within the framework of the two countries’ 200-year-long relations.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands announced that Human Rights Ambassador Wim Geerts held a meeting with President Bernardo Arevalo as part of his official visit to Guatemala.
According to information shared by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, issues of human rights, democracy, and the rule of law were discussed in the context of elections, the 30-year peace process, and the strong 200-year ties between the Netherlands and Guatemala.
