Israeli President Isaac Herzog announced that the 2026 President's Sports Awards ceremony was held at the President's Residence.

At the ceremony, it was emphasized that sports clubs have become spaces of community, support and solidarity for families who have lost loved ones. Herzog said that sports club presidents Alona Barkat and Yaakov Shahar were presented with the personal role model award, given for the first time, for their contributions to Israeli sports and society.

Herzog thanked sports clubs, coaches and athletes for their social work and for supporting Israeli society during difficult times.
