Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Baqaei draws attention to UN General Assembly votes
Tehran, July 16 (Hibya) – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei highlighted the countries that voted against several resolutions adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in a post shared on social media.

Baqaei recalled the resolution on the “Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy” adopted on July 1, 2026, the resolution titled “Recognition of the Transatlantic Slave Trade as a Crime Against Humanity” adopted on March 25, 2026, as well as resolutions concerning combating human trafficking and issues related to terrorism and human rights.
The Iranian spokesperson stated that Israel, the United States, and Argentina voted against these resolutions during their adoption process and criticized the positions taken by those countries.
In his post, Baqaei wrote, “Just a clue as to what is what and who is who,” arguing that the voting results were noteworthy.
