Jetten: We are fully committed to cooperation with Ukraine’s defense industry
Amsterdam, April 16 (Hibya) – Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten spoke about cooperation with Ukraine in the field of the defense industry and planned investments in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) production.
Within the framework of his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten addressed the deepening of the defense partnership between the two countries and joint production projects.
Defining the scope of the cooperation, Jetten said: “The Netherlands continues to support Ukraine. In doing so, we are fully committed to cooperation with Ukraine’s defense industry. This includes purchasing drones from Ukrainian companies and the joint production of Ukrainian drones by Dutch companies.”
Providing information on the official steps, Jetten stated: “To strengthen this deepening of our cooperation, we signed a letter of intent with President Zelensky today.”
Announcing the amount of the investment and the first project, Jetten said: “In the coming period, we will invest 248 million euros in drone production in the Netherlands. And I am pleased that the first joint project for drone production has begun today with the signing of a cooperation agreement between VDL and Greentech-Harvest.”
