Lahbib and McNeill discuss UN and humanitarian aid agenda
European Union (EU) Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib exchanged views with UK Minister for International Development Kirsty McNeill on United Nations reform, humanitarian aid and joint efforts to address global crises.
In a post following her meeting with McNeill, Lahbib stated that the two sides were closely aligned on initiatives marking the United Nations' 80th anniversary and the restructuring of the humanitarian aid system.
Lahbib also said that the two sides were working together to mobilize the private sector in fragile countries around the world and take joint action in response to major crises.
Lahbib noted that close cooperation between the two sides would continue.
