Lahbib: Impunity for attacks on humanitarian workers must end
Brussels, August 19 (Hibya) - European Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib commemorated humanitarian workers who lost their lives on World Humanitarian Day. Lahbib said those responsible for the attacks must be held accountable and that impunity for attacks on humanitarian workers must end.
European Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Lahbib issued a message on attacks against humanitarian workers on the occasion of World Humanitarian Day.
In a post on her social media account, Lahbib said there is a name behind every death, drawing attention to the loss of nurses, drivers and colleagues who were unable to complete their duties.
Emphasizing that those who lost their lives are not merely numbers, Lahbib stated that justice and accountability must be ensured for attacks against humanitarian workers.
Lahbib also called for an end to impunity for attacks on humanitarian workers.
