New Zealand Prime Minister Luxon noted that the effects of the Middle East conflict are strongly felt in New Zealand and the Pacific region.

Meeting with Fiji Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka, Luxon said they discussed the risks facing the region, considering the importance of fuel imports for both economies and their position at the end of long supply chains.

Luxon stated that New Zealand and Fiji agree on concerns about the conflict, the need for urgent de-escalation, and the importance of negotiations.
