French President Emmanuel Macron reiterated the European Union’s (EU) unwavering support for Ukraine and its determination to increase pressure on Russia.

Speaking about his meeting with Zelensky, Macron said, “I welcome the release of the EU loan for Ukraine; this is a very strong signal of our determination to stand by Ukraine. The agreement reached on the 20th sanctions package is also a clear message to Russia.”

Highlighting the importance of defense cooperation and economic pressure on Russia, Macron stated, “We conducted a comprehensive review of our defense cooperation, the need to further increase pressure on Russia’s war economy, and the work we are carrying out within the Coalition of the Willing.”

Emphasizing that Europe will continue to stand behind Ukraine, Macron said, “Our support will not waver today or tomorrow. Europe keeps its word and will maintain its determined stance.”
