Meloni attends inauguration of Palazzo Saladini Pilastri
Ascoli Piceno, October 8 (Hibya) - Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni attended the inauguration of Palazzo Saladini Pilastri in Ascoli Piceno. Meloni said the historic complex, which had remained unused for decades, was renovated under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) and reopened for public use.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni met with Mayor Marco Fioravanti and Marche Regional President Francesco Acquaroli during the inauguration in Ascoli Piceno.
Meloni noted that Palazzo Saladini Pilastri had been made usable again through extensive renovation work, explaining that the project encompasses not only cultural and heritage preservation but also inclusion and social services.
Meloni announced that the historic complex would include a hotel operated by people with disabilities, a restaurant serving locally sourced zero-kilometer products, as well as social housing for vulnerable groups and new services for residents and the community.
Meloni said the project serves as an example of how preserving historical heritage can also create new opportunities for people and the region.
