Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa, together with Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani and Justice Minister Dr. Mazhar al-Wais, received an Iraqi delegation headed by Supreme Judicial Council President Judge Dr. Faiq Zidan in the capital Damascus.

The meeting addressed bilateral relations between Syria and Iraq and the steps that could be taken to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.

The parties highlighted the importance of enhancing coordination between the two countries, stressing that cooperation should serve the interests of the two brotherly peoples and contribute to stability in the region.

The meeting also discussed ways to advance relations between the two countries to a higher level and strengthen joint coordination.
