Moldovan Foreign Ministry: UAV that violated our airspace resembles Shahed-238
Chisinau, August 11 (Hibya) - The Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that during Russia's attacks on Ukraine's Odesa region, Moldovan airspace was violated by an aircraft resembling a Gheran-3 (Shahed-238) unmanned aerial vehicle.
The Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that the country's airspace had once again been violated following recent incidents involving unmanned aerial vehicles.
In a statement issued by the ministry, it was stated that the aircraft that crossed the country's airspace was identified as resembling a Gheran-3 (Shahed-238) unmanned aerial vehicle used during Russia's attacks on Ukraine's Odesa region.
The statement said the incident demonstrated that Russia's war against Ukraine continues to pose a direct risk to the security of the region.
The Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the country's airspace must be respected.
