More than 1,900 killed in attacks on Iran
Tehran, March 28 (Hibya) - More than 1,900 people have been killed and 20,000 injured in attacks carried out by the United States and Israel against Iran.
According to CCTV, Maria Martinez, head of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies delegation in Iran, stated that more than 1,900 Iranians were killed and at least 20,000 injured in the joint attacks by the United States and Israel.
Following the attacks that began on February 28, many Iranian families were forced to leave their homes, and approximately 3 percent of the country’s population has been displaced.
It was also reported that 17 Red Crescent centers were hit, around 100 ambulances were damaged, and nearly 289 health and pharmaceutical facilities were affected.
Ahmad Alavi, head of the Cultural Heritage Committee of the Tehran City Council, stated that Iran’s cultural heritage has also suffered significant damage.
Alavi said that at least 120 museums, historical buildings, and cultural sites across the country were directly targeted and sustained varying levels of damage.
The Iranian Red Crescent also announced that more than 92,000 civilian structures across the country have been damaged since the beginning of the attacks.
