Nandi-Ndaitwah calls for strengthening economic cooperation with Tanzania
Dodoma, June 20 (Hibya) - Namibian President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah stated that the long-standing diplomatic relations and historical solidarity between Namibia and Tanzania should be transformed into stronger economic cooperation.
According to a statement by Tanzania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nandi-Ndaitwah made the remarks following her meeting with Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan at the State House in Dar es Salaam.
Nandi-Ndaitwah said that both countries have a responsibility to build upon the foundations laid by their founding leaders and called for transforming existing relations into economic opportunities that would bring tangible benefits to the peoples of both nations.
Nandi-Ndaitwah also expressed Namibia’s continued gratitude for Tanzania’s support during Namibia’s struggle for independence and liberation.
