Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a farewell meeting with Ambassador Tahir Andrabi, the Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva.

According to a statement from Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dar appreciated Andrabi’s services at the Foreign Ministry.

The statement highlighted Andrabi’s contributions, particularly in his roles as spokesperson and Additional Secretary ACDIS, as well as his role in strengthening the ministry’s strategic communications.

Dar expressed confidence that Andrabi would continue to advance Pakistan’s interests in Geneva and strengthen the country’s multilateral engagement. In this context, it was also noted that Pakistan’s presidency of the United Nations Conference on Disarmament was continuing.

Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also announced that Andrabi had played an active role in the work of the Conference on Disarmament during his assignment in Geneva.

Dar wished Ambassador Andrabi success in his new responsibilities.
