The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates issued a message of condolence to Algeria following the deaths of children in a fire at an orphanage in the Mohammadia Municipality, east of the Algerian capital.

In its statement, the ministry said that the State of Palestine shares the grief of the brotherly Algerian people over the tragic disaster and extended its deepest condolences to the leadership, government and people of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria.

The statement also conveyed condolences to the families of the 11 children who lost their lives in the fire, wished God's mercy upon the deceased and a speedy recovery for those injured. It also expressed hopes for Algeria's continued security and peace.
