In a statement issued by Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was emphasized that the ceasefire should be urgently expanded and that escalation in the region must be prevented.

The statement said: "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses the State of Qatar’s appreciation for the efforts of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, particularly Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, the Commander of the Defense Forces, and Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir, as well as all parties who contributed to mediation efforts and goodwill initiatives that led to the ceasefire agreement."

Qatar also issued a key call regarding regional security: "The Ministry emphasizes the need for the Islamic Republic of Iran to immediately cease all hostile actions and practices that undermine regional stability, respect the sovereignty of states, and ensure that such violations are not repeated."

The statement also highlighted the importance of trade freedom: "The Ministry underscores the importance of ensuring the security of maritime routes and the freedom of navigation and international trade, as this contributes to maintaining regional stability and global supply chains."
