Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, met with Swiss Federal Councillor and Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs Ignazio Cassis at Switzerland’s Burgenstock Resort.

The meeting addressed bilateral relations, ways to strengthen cooperation, and regional developments.

Particular attention was given to diplomatic efforts aimed at enhancing security and stability in the region following the memorandum of understanding reached between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The Qatari side reaffirmed its support for negotiations aimed at finding sustainable solutions between the United States and Iran through dialogue and peaceful means.

The statement noted that such diplomatic initiatives would enhance regional security, create new opportunities for cooperation and development, and serve the common interests of peoples.
